Wearmouth had been on Magento since 2011 and had the URLs to prove it - product pages, layered navigation, three generations of category structure, all of it indexed and all of it earning.

The move took a fortnight of preparation and one weekend of execution: 2,100 redirects mapped by hand and checked twice, structured data rebuilt, and every size and fit attribute carried across as real variants rather than as text in a description.

Organic traffic in the month after the move was within a percent of the month before it. That is the whole job.
